Posing by the temples and pyramids. You know how I do :) In case y'all haven't noticed, I pick my style, according to my surroundings. Check the Egypt photos & you'll see what I mean. BWAHAHHA!!
The art work of ancestors in Mexico and Egypt.....I've experienced both, up close. Migration......migration.
Hey, I know a good shot, when I see one. The Pyramid of the Moon is in the background. For those who don't know, there are a few pyramids/temples....surrounding a sort of ancient, town square. There was a native guy here following me & pressuring me to buy some crafts he made. He was short, but damn he was bold. It was so funny. There's only one other person who knows this story.
Standing on top of the Pyramid of the Sun. Funny story. After I reached the top, my scared ass was crawlinggggg down, holding up all the tourists, behind me. The steps of that pyramid are small, and ANCIENT. So, I'm not trying to fall off the pyramid. I have a picture of that, also.
Loving it.
Great, sunny day.
I'm happy. Thanks, Yoshi.
Hey, I'm not trying to look like a deep thinker.....it's just naturally ME.
Quite naturally, I'm taller than everyone else. Hahaha!!
He was adorable, dressed in the traditional, ceremonial piece of his ancestors. I had to take a picture. Notice, he wanted to hold-up a shield, to show he's a warrior.
Another member of the ceremonial dance troupe.
Enter the temple.
Diego's famous mural.
Aztec/Tenoch Sun Dial.....basically their calendar.
I tried to re-create my iconic Egypt-coffin pose, from 2001. But, I don't think this competes. It's still cool, though.
Another iconic photo. Thanks, Yoshi.
The university in Mexico City. Yeah, I know a good shot, when I see one. Keep in mind, my weight fluctuates. HOWEVER, I was the heaviest I'd ever been from 2008--Spring 2010 (265lbs).
This was my 1st of 2 trips, to Puebla (long story, behind this. Again, only 2 other people know this story).
In front of the castle in Alexandria, Egypt.
Me and the famous Islam Marey. Hahaha. Father, politician/leader, brother, businessman, loyal friend, etc.
A portion of the Zagazig gang.
The brothers.....who treated me, like a brother. Shawkat (left) and Shahir (right).
Chillin' on the balcony.....as usual.
Oh, boy. So much, behind this photo. I'm smiling, but my insides are uneasy.
What a culture shock.
My first night. Welcome the African-American back to Africa. You know I had to jazz it-up.
An iconic photo. One of my favorites. I knew this would make a good photo, so I directed someone to take it, of course.
This REALLY needs no explanation.
Entrance to the Valley of the Kings (tombs of many Pharaohs). This area....Nubia---are all part of the original empire, which pre-dates Cairo and the famous Giza pyramids. It's deep, y'all. AND HOT AS HELL. It was at least 110 degrees. I'm NOT joking.
Inside Ramses' tomb.
In the area of Nubia. This boy is so adorable, right?
Brother and sister. Awwww. They're as cute as buttons.
On the shore of the Red Sea.
Look at me, in the Red Sea....looking all fly. Hahhaa.
Me and Mr. Shokry. Rest in peace, Mr. Shokry.
Deep thought. On the balcony in Zagazig, while writing. It's sunrise. You can't get a better setting, than this.
You CAN'T screw-up a black man's hair!! I gave him a million instructions!! hahaha.
Chillin' with the Zagazig gang, at a cafe. It's so early in the morning. But, this was typical of us. Talk about silly and serious issues.... drink tea, or cocoa....joke around....ahhh, those were the days. Who knew things would change, in September, 2001.
The Zagazig gang is all here (well, except for Mr. Islam)!!!
Flamingos in Brazilian zoo.
Chillin' by the bamboo trees.
Enjoying Sao Paulo.
Relaxing in Marilia, Brazil.
On the train, in Sao Paulo.
Outside the station, in Sao Paulo.
The children of the world. This was after the ceremony of Umbanda.
On my way to the Umbanda ceremony. This was my 1st, scary motorcycle ride!!
Well.....that was a short winter recess, from school!! Back to work!
