Cairo, Egypt (on the Nile River)
Preparing for Aunt Harvette’s home going ceremony. 02.22.2023
Feeling good after 2 successful performances!
About to shoot a scene for our skit.
Of course, I made it all about ME. Hahaha.
About to swing from the trees, on ropes.
Drama Club. Manchester High School, 1992.
Ecology Club Photo (May, 1992). I wasn't as involved in the club.....HOWEVER, I appreciated the knowledge (via activities, field trips) which encouraged preservation of "Mother Earth".
Me being unique, as usual. Homecoming game. Manchester High School. October, 1991
After a short while, I couldn't STAND football. This was one of many lessons I'd learn to not allow anyone to vicariously live through me. I did appreciate the exercise regimen (as crazy, as it was...)
Rest in Peace, Marina. In hindsight, my last visit wasn't to help her with her game show idea. It was time set for us to spend our last moments, together. Life is unpredictable. Her last 12 years were filled with so much pain. She never had the chance to fully realize her dream......and that will always disturb me.
Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills. My friend Catina and I were on a lunch break, after a seminar which allowed us to pitch story ideas to various film producers. I saw this chrome Ferrari and I HAD to pose next to it. The guy who exited the vehicle looked like he was pretty darn important.
July, 2009. Yes, I was the biggest I'd ever been, from 2008---July, 2010 (I was 265 lbs). Now, I'm 6' 5", so.....I wasn't grossly fat.....but, I did have a small belly, big legs and (obviously) a chubby face. I've had to battle weight, since I was 9 years old.
With Marina in West Hollywood, CA (April, 2008--Spring Break).
Notice the Hard Rock Cafe, in the background. I still have a souvenir glass, from there.
About to see a Cirque du Soleil show, in Las Vegas.
Outside of Epcot Center, DisneyWorld. This was on Thanksgiving Day (November, 2007). I really enjoyed myself, that day. A special time.
This was the fourth of several dates.....a special and fateful day, for many reasons.
This was the 3rd of several dates with....well, those who know, know. Aaww, look how happy I am.
Enjoying myself at Six Flags Great Adventure, in New Jersey.
Picking up my pictures on the Upper-West Side of Manhattan. Straightening my hair looked cute....but, my hair paid a price for that, til this day.
The last day of school and I was dismantling my bulletin board.
Howard University Graduation (May, 1999). And, yes---may hair is the BIZNESS. I twist/colored/styled my own hair.
At home, in Virginia, with our dog, Malcolm. I miss my baby. Awwww.
Awww.......I miss my dog, Malcolm.
Virginia, circa summer, 1990.
Look at all these hoodlums. Hahahha. Shout-out to William! He was my friend. Oh, and Shelly!! She was the bomb. All these other mo-fo's get an EYE-ROLLLLL!!!
"The Real World", a performance directed & choreographed by me. It was performed in the community center, on Oct. 31, 1988. It's so funny, because these are all my neighbors, in our Upper West Side apartment complex. I would make them rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse....ALL SUMMER. Hahahahha!!!
This requires a "Where Are They Now?" segment. Of course, we were all cool. I do miss the Teachers & Writers Workshop. It allowed my writing and acting abilities to truly flourish. THANK YOU SO MUCH, MOM!!!
Paul had such a sick, twisted sense of humor. That's why I liked him. Hahaa!! Oh, and he was a beast on the violin!! Shout-out, to Paul!!
This Certificate from the "Teachers & Writers Workshop" meant a lot, to me.
Mom made a surprise visit to my class and threw a birthday bash, for my 7th birthday!!! Awww. My birthday is October 30th, but my Mom would sometimes throw the party on Halloween. Look at all these bad-ass bullies who wanted some cake from me. Especially Lawrence (behind me).
Awww.....Mr. Slattery. One of my favorite teachers. He wasn't motivated by money/social climbing & actually, really cared about us. He was a real, old-school teacher. Shout-out, to Mr. Slattery!!
I had stage fright and couldn't complete my graduation speech! It was the first time I'd been on stage.....in front of a crowded room. Man, how ironic. At least I got a Mickey Mouse watch.....which I (accidentally) broke, on the same day. DAMNIT!!!
My GOODNESS, I was a big-ass baby! I swear, NO WONDER Mom said people called me a "soap opera baby". I'm about 6 or 7 months in this photo....and I look like I'm 2 years old. BWAhahaha!!!
Aawwww, I'm so cute.
